History of Torralba den Salord:
The Talayotic settlement of Torralba d’en Salort is a living testimony to the Talayotic civilisation that flourished in Menorca during the Bronze and Iron Ages, approximately between the 13th century BC and the 4th century BC. These ancient inhabitants left their mark on the island by building imposing stone structures known as talayots, taulas and navetas.
The settlement of Torralba d’en Salort, located in the municipality of Alaior, is one of the most important talayotic complexes in Menorca. This settlement is believed to have been inhabited from 1000 BC until the Roman domination in the 3rd century BC. Its structures, including the talayots and the taula, suggest a complex social and religious system in the ancient Talayotic society.
